Zachary Jean Paradis

Zachary Jean Paradis is a Director Innovation Strategy, professor and author obsessed with transforming lives through customer experience. He works at SapientNitro, teaches at the IIT Institute of Design and lives in Chicago. Zachary works with companies to become successful innovators by utilizing “experience thinking” as a strategic asset manifested in better offerings, flexible process, and open culture. He works with start-ups and Fortune 1000 companies as diverse as Chrysler Auto Group to Target, Hyatt Hotels to John Deere, M&S to McLaren Automotive, P&G to United Healthcare, and SAP to Yahoo! evolving service, product and communication experiences across digital and physical channels. Zachary holds degrees in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of Chicago and a Master of Design from the IIT Institute of Design. He continues to teach at the Illinois Institute of Technology including a core innovation primer based on Naked Innovation, as well as an advanced class at the IIT Institute of Design focused on Experience Modeling. David McGaw

David McGaw is a Principal at Embarcadero Partners, a San Francisco-based consulting firm. Working with an interdisciplinary team, he helps clients turn great ideas into cultures and practices that create value. His background includes corporate and innovation strategy, organizational transformation, project leadership, and business development roles at Monitor/Doblin (Chicago and San Francisco), gravitytank (Chicago) and McKinsey & Company (Washington, DC). Clients he has served include leading consumer electronics, computer hardware/software, consumer goods, and insurance companies; large private philanthropic foundations; and agencies of US federal and state governments. Prior to his work in innovation, he was a brand strategist at Alliant Studios, and a creative director at Cru, a global non-profit based in Orlando. David holds an undergraduate degree in History from Yale, and a Master of Design from the IIT Institute of Design, where he has taught graduate classes in project management and concept evaluation, and created the “Fostering Creativity” course. He currently teaches the “Leading Innovation” module in the Master of Business Innovation degree program at CEDIM in Monterrey, Mexico. Dan Sweet is the founder of Heptagon Creative, serving the beer-loving folks of Portland, Oregon an array of Web & UI design, custom-tailored WordPress builds, product development & strategy.

Working with agencies and individuals around the world (and beyond) on a variety of projects, Dan welcomes any breed of design challenge. He’s often called on by the good folks at Hasbro for help in concept & UI development for game and toy products, reviving forgotten or aging properties belonging to Nerf, Marvel and Playskool (among others), and bringing traditional toys and games into the digital interactive space.

Cat is Chief Architect and Head of Technology Innovation at Brilliant Basics. He envisions a world where ‘Technology is invisible.‘ Cat fancies himself a robo-flaneur. Part consultant, part digital dandy. Cat concerns himself with the stewardship of ideas through the lenses of service design. A semiotic obsesssed craft driven reader.
